OptimSys Newsletter July 2009
Dear Reader,
Welcome to the new issue of the irregular OptimSys' newsletter.
This newsletter is issued on the occasion of releasing OptimTalk
1.8. The release introduces several new features and improvements
throughout the whole OptimSys' product portfolio.
The most exciting new features include:
- Support for CCXML Appendix L – Session Creation Event I/O
Processor. The processor can receive HTTP requests from an external
application to create new CCXML sessions.
- OptimTalk Semantic Interpreter follows the SISR
Recommendation now while only an older SISR draft was supported in
the previous version. The syntax of the older draft is still supported for
backward compatibility.
- Grammar loading was speeded up significantly.
- The Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is
supported. SNMP allows the OptimTalk platform to be monitored at runtime for
conditions that warrant administrative attention.
- SIP protocol handling was improved to better deal with
various vendor-specific, borderline and quirky behavior of SIP devices that
OptimTalk communicates with.
- Added SIP early media support (media playback before the
call is accepted).
- Enhanced file logger was introduced that can split large
logs into several files, auto-erase old logs, filter the logs etc.
- And more... see the change log
for a more comprehensive list.
The features mentioned above are available not only in
OptimTalk Technology 1.8, but also in all our products based on the technology,
in particular in OptimTalk Voice Browser
1.8 and OptimTalk Desktop Suite 1.8
