OptimCall is a system for personalized management of phone lines. It addresses the needs of business end-users who require greater control over phone call handling that goes beyond the capabilities of their PBX.
OptimCall is not intended as a PBX replacement (although it could be used that way in some cases). It rather uses the PBX for getting information about the current traffic in the telephone network, such as information about incoming calls, notices when the user accepts the call or hangs up, etc. Based on user-defined rules, OptimCall plans actions that should be taken to process the call and instructs the PBX to perform respective operations in the telephone network.
OptimCall brings the following advantages to the users:
Flexible call processing rules. While a PBX usually offers a few basic call processing features, such as unconditional call transfer or voice mail, OptimCall offers much greater flexibility and fine-grained control. Different actions can be applied to an incoming call based on the current time and caller's phone number. Different action sets can be specified for working days, weekends, or when the user is at a meeting, on a business trip, or on vacation.
