OptimTalk Voice Browser

OptimTalk Voice Browser is a ready-to-use application platform for deployment of flexible telephony and speech applications and systems such as interactive voice response (IVR) systems. To be able to bring maximum benefits to the users, OptimTalk Voice Browser is based on open standards (VoiceXML 2.0/2.1, CCXML, SIP, SRGS, SISR, SSML, MRCPv2, HTTP(S) and more).

The main function of OptimTalk Voice Browser is the execution of scenarios for automated control of telephony lines described by means of the CCXML language and the interpretation of scenarios for automated dialog between human and computer described by means of the VoiceXML language. These scenarios, together with server-side business logic, form the backbone of the applications.

Using CCXML and VoiceXML dramatically reduces application implementation costs and time to market. Resulting applications are flexible, robust and easier to maintain, offering excellent interoperability with third party technologies and products.

OptimTalk Voice Browser makes advanced speech technologies accessible to the application developers. Thanks to VoiceXML, applications can easily make use of text-to-speech (TTS) and automatic speech recognition (ASR) technologies whenever required. Thanks to these technologies, it is for example possible to improve the lengthy and unpopular menu navigation known from the traditional IVR systems. The user simply says his/her request and the system employs speech recognition to understand it. If necessary, the computer asks the user for clarification. Pre-recorded audio clips can be replaced by flexible prompts generated on the fly and spoken to the user by means of the text-to-speech technology.

OptimTalk Voice Browser is available for all major platforms (32bit and 64bit Windows, 32bit and 64bit Linux, 32bit and 64bit Solaris). Customers are not forced to using a particular platform and can choose the platform that best suits their purpose.

OptimTalk Voice Browser comes with built-in means for interoperability with third party products using various standardized interfaces and protocols, such as SOAP protocol, CGI interface etc. On request, it can be customized for interoperation with third party products using proprietary interfaces and protocols.
